An Evening in the Garden | Elkhart Maternity Photographer

It’s really hard not to have favorites, but I’ve discovered over the course of the year that I have a few.  Maternity sessions would be one of those favorites.   I don’t know that I can quite describe the creative energy I feel when photographing an expectant mother.  I wonder if it’s all the creation, forming, and growing that is happening in the womb.  This session was no exception to that indescribable feeling.  Truly, if my husband and I ever decide to bite the bullet and have a child, I hope to look at least 22.59% as good as this soon-to-be mom.  And they’re having a girl!  And I get the privilege of photographing her!  And I probably shouldn’t start another sentence with the word and, but I’m excited about photographing a baby girl!

I think I’ve said this before, but I have really grown to love the color gray since I’ve started this photography thing. I wouldn’t recommend an entire family in gray, but in small doses like these two, it’s divine.
I think I could have blogged their entire session, but I would have had to stay up past my bedtime. Maybe I’ll show a few more of my faves another day. 🙂
I have a feeling this little girl is going to be a beauty! Just look at her mom. 🙂
