Something New :: Traci Shupert Photography

You may have noticed some renovations going on here at Traci Shupert Photography.  After 2 years of officially being in business, I felt it was time for a bit of a change.  Over the past few years, I’ve been refining and learning about myself as an artist and photographer.  When my graphic designer friend and I originally worked on my logo, we entertained the idea of doing something with spirographs.  I ended up choosing a different logo, but that spirograph design always had my heart…

During my childhood, I spent a lot of time at my grandparent’s home.  My mom was a secretary for their construction business, and the office was located on my grandparent’s property.  So, my mom would go to work and my sister and I got to hang out with my grandma.  I remember being fascinated with the spirograph kit my grandma had for me to play with.  It amazed me that those circles – some so small and minuscule –  could create so many, many different designs.

When I decided earlier this year that I wanted to revise the logo, I knew I wanted to keep the circular theme because the sun and it’s light is so important and vital to my work as a photographer.  I also knew that I wanted to change the colors.  Gray has become a staple in my wardrobe and home decor.  Yellow – well that’s the color I always chose for the sun as I drew my childhood pictures.
