This is my spunky niece that you’ll see many, many times if you look through the archives of my blog. Her birthday is this month, so I’ve been working on some ideas for her session. Lately, I’ve been in a vintage frame of mind, so I knew I wanted to incorporate vintage elements. Last month, we took her to see Toy Story 3 (yes, I cried at the end). As we walked out of the theatre, I knew I wanted to incorporate some of the old toys my sister and I played with as girls (thanks for keeping them, Mom!). Several weeks ago as I was driving and she was riding in the backseat when she said, “Traci, can I be a photographer like you someday?” First of all, melt my heart! Of course she can, and I hope that she let’s me teach her when the time is right. Second, I knew this was the reason I needed to buy a vintage camera I had my eye on at a local antique store. Throw in a few other handmade elements, and her session came together in my mind. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them before, after, and during the session.
