I’m losing track of days and dates these days since school is out for the summer! I realized on my way to this afternoon’s session that it was Wednesday. These two little girls chose their favorite books to bring along to the session today. When I was ready to take photos of them reading the books, I was informed formed by the oldest girl that she was studying, not reading. I thought that was way too insightful for a little 3 year old because reading is studying. Reading is thinking. Even when a child is not ready to read words yet, they can study and investigate and think about what they see in a book. And I guarantee these books are well loved and repeatedly read to them.
Just in case you don’t already know – garage sales are great places to find books! (Just make sure you get there before a teacher does or there might not be any left!) Having a garage sale and planning to sell some of your child’s books. Leave a comment letting us know when and where your garage sale is. Happy studying!
P.S. In case you didn’t already know, I’m having a one year celebration. It involves two words – free stuff! Click here for all the details!
