If you were around Facebook last week, you probably heard and saw my BIG announcement – I am now offering Newborn Mentoring with my amazing friend Leah Hoskins Photography!!! I always knew at some point I would love to use the skills I have learned from teaching for 14 years with photography. When I fell in love with newborn photography, I realized how I would use those teaching skills. But I wasn’t ready until I had developed my own style and ease with posing. I felt I needed to be consistent and confident in my work before I taught anyone else. There is always, always room to grow, and I intend to keep growing. I didn’t plan on teaming with anyone to offer mentoring, but Leah and I assisted each other with some sessions over the past year, and we instantly clicked. We both offer a unique but similar perspective in our photos. We tend to gravitate towards “simple” set-ups that allow the baby to be the center, instead of the props. As we were defining our style, our name was born – Sweet & Simple Newborn Workshops. We open registration for our first workshop tomorrow, December 8th at 5:00 PM EST.
